Anybody Care?

Anybody CareThere are situations in life that can make us feel insignificant. At some point many of us have found ourselves alone, wondering if anyone cares. Truth is, God cares; so much that He even has an inventory of the very hairs on our heads (easier for some than others). We are valuable to Him. In the book of Genesis we see that He spoke creation in existence, but took His time to MAKE man. As the old hymn says, “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.” So, if He watches over the creation that He spoke into existence, rest assured that He cares about us that He took His time to form.

And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬ NLT)

Bottomless Pit

Brooke FraserThere have been times when I’ve felt like I had a bottomless pit. I searched everywhere for something to fill the void, but was unsuccessful. Money, career, relationships, alcohol, experiences nor anything else can fill the space that was created for one, or better yet THE ONE. In the words of Brooke Fraser “If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy, I can only conclude that I was not made for here.”

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. (‭Psalms‬ ‭63‬:‭1‬ NLT)

Our mistakes should teach us a lesson, but they shouldn’t determine who we are or give us our self worth.

1WRITERSHEART

Sometimes we go though life burdened by our past, regret, negative thoughts, failures and mistakes. These loads can be a heavy weight to carry around, but we have a heavyweight champ who fought for us and won by giving His life for us on the cross. The only weight we should experience now is the weight of glory. Be blessed!

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory ” (2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV).

Heavyweight

To the ones who carry their past mistakes

I say

Heavy weight

To the ones whose heart is burdened with regret

I say

Heavy weight

To the darkness that tries to push us down

I say

Heavy weight

To the lightweights that have been overtaken by their enemy

I say

Heavyweight

To those who want to hang up the gloves

I say

Heavyweight

To the savior who has paid the ultimate price for our sins

I say

Heavyweight

As for the momentary afflictions I remind you of the coming glory

And I say

Heavy weight

See For Yourself

See for yourself I remember growing up in church and listening to people talk about the things that God had done in their lives. It was nice to hear, but I didn’t really know God until I began to see Him working in my own life. It’s one thing to hear a person’s account of His grace, mercy, and faithfulness, but it’s another to have lived it yourself. The only way to accomplish this is by having a relationship with Him (through His Son). Trust me, this is one thing you’ll want to experience for yourself.

I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. (‭Job‬ ‭42‬:‭5‬ NLT)
