The Woman and Her Tiny Umbrella

Be GratefulOne day, while driving in the rain, I couldn’t help but notice a woman walking in the street with a tiny umbrella. To be honest, she would’ve done better without, but as I looked into her face (expecting to see frustration or anger) I saw nothing but joy. This taught me a great lesson. Here I was upset at the fact that it was raining which meant the cars were slower than usual, and this lady was walking in the rain, happy with the tiny umbrella that barely shielded her from the downpour. Let’s be grateful no matter what situation we find ourselves in. If not for dark clouds, there’d be no silver linings, if not for storms there’d be no rainbows.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬ NLT)
