Be Prepared

In light of the recent hurricane scare that Florida experienced, I wanted to share something that came to mind. When the threat of a storm became imminent and it seemed to be a sure thing, the state set their hurricane plans into motion. By Thursday morning, a vast majority of the population was ready. Upon waking up Friday morning, however, most people noticed the storm had passed without too much damage. Thank God for that! Regardless, should it have passed, most were prepared.

Can we say the same of our salvation? It may seem like often times we have false alarms, but as the Bible says, Jesus’ return will be like a thief in the night. Have we made arrangements as to where we plan on spending eternity? Life is fragile, be prepared.

So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
