We often see movies or read books with stories of the medieval times where kings led their armies into war. This was done as a sign of bravery. A courageous king was considered a man of respect and honor. I think these are well worth it for one who doesn’t just sit on a throne and command but instead fights with His people for the kingdom. Our King is no different. God doesn’t just sit on His throne to watch us struggle, He leads the way to victory. Yes, sometimes this may seemingly be a lonely path, but rest assured that God is leading the way and has no intentions of leaving.
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT)
