In today’s verse, Moses warns Israel against forgetting. They were a stubborn people and often times turned their backs on God. This timeless advice still applies to date. As we grow in ministry, career, knowledge and/or status, let us not forget where we came from or better yet….where God rescued us from. The higher we go, the more humble we should be, keeping in mind Proverbs 16:18 “…a proud spirit comes before a fall”, after all pride IS a sin.
be careful not to forget the LORD, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt. (Deuteronomy 6:12 NLT)
