The Cost of Freedom

The Cost of FreedomSometimes, we enjoy the benefits of someone else’s sacrifice without thinking twice about the price that it cost the other individual. National holidays are a great example of this. While most are on the beach or at BBQs, families visit the graves of loved ones who gave their lives for our freedom. The same can be said for Jesus’ sacrifice. As we enjoy our freedom (be it physical or spiritual), let us take a moment to reflect on how it was obtained in the first place.

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ NLT)
