One morning I noticed one of my tubes of makeup was running low. Rather than toss it, I gave it a good squeeze and got more makeup out. I was able to keep this up for about 2 weeks. Had I tossed it out when I noticed it was running low, I would’ve lost all the extra product stored inside; what a waste that would’ve been. Life is similar to that tube of makeup, sometimes we need a good squeeze, a tough moment, to bring out certain qualities which are stored inside of us.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. (Romans 5:3 NLT)
