Focus!

When Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, he wanted to try it out for himself. He set foot on the water and began to walk. Then, rather than focus on Christ, he saw the waves and the storm around him which caused him to sink. How many times have we asked God to let us take a leap of faith but once we are there we lose focus? No longer do we see God, we see the surrounding circumstances that slowly begin to sink our faith. The storm was ongoing when Peter first stepped off the boat, but he only realized it when he took his focus off Jesus. Let’s stay focused on what matters.
