I’ve learned in life that, unfortunately, a parent cannot be everywhere their child is. There comes a time when they must let go and trust in 2 things: 1. that they’ve done a good job raising them and 2. trust in God. Sometimes letting go is just for a few hours, like the first day of school, and sometimes it’s more permanent, like when they leave home. Regardless, the Word is clear; parents need to set the right foundation and that foundation is Christ. More than a simple phrase written on our currency, “In God we trust” should be our conviction.
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. (Proverbs 22:6 NLT)
