Being raised in Florida, I grew accustomed to sun, sand, and palm trees. I’ve found that they are an inspiration in nature, especially during a storm. Certain types of palm trees are said to be hurricane-proof. After some research, I found that the reason for this is because they are deeply rooted and though they may sway with the wind, they don’t give in. We may face storms in our life, but if our faith is deeply rooted in Christ, we can survive the storm rather than give in to it.
The ship was caught by the storm and could not head into the wind; so we gave way to it and were driven along. (Acts 27:15 NIV)
