Seeing Ghosts

There are moments in our lives where the storm is so heavy, the path ahead is unclear and unknown thus clouding our judgment. As a result, we see “ghosts”; something that is not really there. These ghosts can manifest themselves as our fears; fear of failing, fear of being alone, fear of not being good enough, fear of being unloved…etc. When the disciples were in the midst of a storm, they thought to have seen a ghost and feared, but what a great feeling it must have been to hear the voice of Jesus comforting and reassuring them in the midst of the storm.

But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!  ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
