Mary had the privilege of carrying, in her womb, the Son of God but that wasn’t a random decision; she was chosen. Sometimes as believers we wonder “Why was this guy blessed and not me?” The reality is that Mary was not only chosen, but she was also willing. When we open our hearts to God and are willing to accept His will, we are blessed as a result.
I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. (Luke 1:38 NIV)
