Halellujah Night

It was a hallelujah night

The darkness could not resist

It was a hallelujah night

Even the darkest of fears had to desist

It was a hallelujah night

And evil was simply dismissed

It was a hallelujah night

All warrior angels were called to enlist

It was a hallelujah night

And hell’s plans would cease to exist

Because it was a hallelujah night.

3 Years and Counting

Today marks 3 years since I decided to share my writing with anyone willing to read and or listen. All cliche’s aside, I want to first thank my King and Savior, Jesus. I don’t know where I’d be had it not been for His mercy, love, and grace.

I also want to thank each and every person that has liked, commented, or shared, I’m grateful for your support! If anything ever written has in some way, or another, positively impacted at least one person, then I have accomplished what I set out to do.

Here’s to more images, poems, blogs, vlogs, and BOOKS!

From this writer’s heart to you…Thank You!

Hoy Aprendí

Hoy he aprendido a amar
Aunque no me amen de regreso
Porque el amor no es dar para recibir

Hoy he aprendido a perdonar
Al que me hirió en el pasado
Porque el perdón es más para mí, que para el otro

Hoy he aprendido a dar
Sin esperar nada a cambio
Porque el pedir es fuerza y el dar es voluntad

Hoy he aprendido a llorar
Y no esconder mis lágrimas
Porque ser vulnerable no equivale a debilidad

Hoy he aprendido a amarme
Tal y como soy
Porque soy diseño y criatura de Dios

Hoy he aprendido a apreciar
Cada día, los buenos y malos
Porque el tiempo no se recupera

Hoy he aprendido a sonreír
Aún en las noches más oscuras
Porque siempre llega el amanecer

Hoy aprendí.

Faith Is

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.(Hebrews 11:1 NLT)

Yes, come

IMG_4516There’s an old gospel song that says A saint is but a sinner who fell down and got up. Whether we care to admit it or not, we have all sinned, we’ve all failed God. Proverbs 24:16 teaches us that the key to falling is in getting back up. What I love most about my walk with God is that each time I got up and dusted myself off, He was always there with open arms to accept me “as is”. Those same arms that were nailed open to the cross remain open today and invite everyone, regardless of their condition to simply “come”.

“Yes, come,” Jesus said. (Matthew 14:29a NLT)

Flashback Friday: A Musician’s Love

He holds the secret, he has the key
Playing sweet melodies, never off-key

Musician of the heart, he knows how to strike a chord
In tune and in sync, their hearts in one accord

He masterfully composes the perfect piece
Giving her security and perfect peace

On her heart he’s etched his unforgettable prints
As she slowly falls for her charming prince

A skillful musician, he knows the right notes
Unlocking her heart with handwritten love notes

He alters his tune and writes in a break
And at the altar promises her heart not to break

His wife he will make her, and together become one
A-sharp gentleman, her heart he has won.
