In John 2 we find the passage where Jesus turned the water into wine. The MC’s (master of ceremonies) words got me thinking about life. It was customary to serve the best wine first. In this case, the water-turned-wine by Jesus, which was served last, was the best. Sometimes the first part of our day, week, month, year or life is not as good as it could be, but things change when Jesus steps in. Like the wedding in the passage, however, He is waiting for an invite into our heart. With Him by our side, we know that the best is yet to come.
A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!
(John 2:10 NLT)
