Dear Enemy

Dear EnemyMany things in life are “easier said than done”, loving your enemies is one of those things. So, here is my attempt at practicing what I preach:

To whom it may concern,
To those who I can’t stand and those who can’t stand me. To the people who I’ve offended and those that have offended me. To those who speak about me behind my back, those who have tried to humble me to feel superior, those who don’t like my attitude, or simply don’t like me for whatever reason. To those who have outcast me, used me, broken my spirit or my heart, this is for you. I refuse to let your actions hurt me and keep me from doing what the Bible says we should do. I love you and am praying for you. I don’t expect you to understand. My prayer is that you could find love, true love in Christ. Please know that you are forgiven. For those who I have offended, my sincerest apologies. I pray that you could forgive me and keep me in your prayers. I’m trying to be a better person, but sometimes I fall; I hope you understand.
Sincerely,
Lisa

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! (‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭44‬ NLT)
