It’s a very humbling experience to know that nothing I’ve done, am doing, or will ever do, pays for my salvation. At the same time I’m very grateful that the price has already been paid for me. My “holiness” or the amount of times I go to (or participate in) church don’t determine my level of salvation. It’s simple; accept the gift that God made available to us through Jesus’ sacrifice. Truly I say, I love Him because HE loved me first, so much that He laid down His life.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (Ephesians 2:8 NIV)
