Good Friday

It is FinishedWhen I think of the sacrifice that Jesus made for me I can’t help but breakout into tears. Words perhaps don’t describe the full extent of His suffering, but one can only imagine the agony and pain He must’ve endured. He was beaten, bruised, whipped, and crushed so that we wouldn’t have to be. Sent from heaven with 1 mission; to save the world by paying the ultimate price. The bible tells us that the wage of sin is death; Jesus’ death was payment for our sins. None of us can say that we are not responsible for His death because we have all sinned at some point or another, and NO sin is too small or too great. Up on that cross, He was literally bearing the weight of the world. Let these words remind us to not just commemorate His death one day of the year, but on a daily basis.

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭4-6‬ NLT)
