I’m Expecting!

I’m Expecting!!!

Recently, I was listening to a song that spoke on 1 Corinthians 2:9 and I felt the Lord tug at the strings of my heart. We often wait for God to surprise us and go on about our lives not expecting anything because, after all, it’s a surprise, but I’m sure this isn’t how it works. We should have an expecting attitude; knowing that God will answer, knowing that He has a plan for us, knowing that He will work things out and the surprise will be in how He does it!

Celebrate with me. Watch this!:

Don’t Worry

To whom this may concern. To you who are worried or anxious about something. Allow me to tell you that I know the feeling. I too understand being worried or anxious to the point of losing my breath becoming physically ill. As a believer, I’ve come to learn that there is nothing impossible for God, and yet I try to “help” Him by taking tasks from His hands and worrying about them. I’ve also learned that, while my anxiety can’t be simply switched off, there are things I can do to ease it. When I feel the tingling of worry and anxiety creeping up on me, rather than give in I have a talk with my Heavenly Father and try to remind myself to just chill He’s got my back.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (Philippians 4:6 NLT)

Be Still

Rainy Morning

In God We TrustDuring some of the toughest moments in my life I’ve found comfort in the book of Job. Despite having lost everything in a short period of time, and after going through the usual human emotions, He was still able to trust in the Lord. Job’s story reminds me of the Psalmist’s words; “Where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord”.

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives… (‭Job‬ ‭19‬:‭25‬ NLT).
