Happy Mother’s Day ladies!

They say Rome wasn’t built in a day,
So remember this when clouds turn to gray,
and when the house is messy from the kids’ bustle and play.
“Good things take time”, that’s what people say,
And though today’s teachings will be tomorrow’s yesterday,
It will be those things that show your kids the right way.
So be the rock that lays the foundation today.
You’re a mom and you’re beautiful that way!

I Celebrate You

She is a warrior
Unique, no one like her
She is a mystery, she’s a poetic song
She is capable, hardworking and strong
Nature’s nurture, valuable, beautiful
She is priceless and that is indisputable
I celebrate you, WOMAN!

The Pretty Box

It was a bookcase, shoe holder
something to put in an empty space.
It had a cover, drawers,
and numerous uses to discover.
It was a box
nothing more,
used for packing, holding, stacking
nothing unorthodox,
but it was a pretty box.

I do this thing with boxes where, rather than throw them, out I repurpose them. Usually, these are wrapped with contact paper and used as bedside bookcases, shoe organizers, and most recently, a 2 drawer tabletop “thingy”. My mom often gets upset and tells me to just throw them out, but why would I? They are pretty boxes, too good to throw out and apart from that, they are very useful. I believe God sees us in a similar way. While man may cast us out because they can only see who we are, God sees what we can become. He sees that we are too good to throw out, and wraps us in His love giving us a new purpose in life.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-5‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

All done
Hair and makeup undone
But I’m done
Nope, this isn’t a dry run
Believe it or not, I’m all done
Washing machine after the clothes has spun
I’m done
Shooting out lines like a water gun
Ladies and gents I’m done
Perfectly imperfect little someone
I’m done
Carefully knitted together by The One
Who’s only just begun
Yet simultaneously all done
I’m not taking suggestions from anyone
And this is no competition
Made by God, loved by The Son
Don’t try to change me, I’m all done

Love Capsule

A real smile can’t be hidden.

Captured Memories

Some moments are meant to be captured only by our hearts and minds.

Fight for the ❤️

“Fight For The Heart”

There was a beauty about her sadness
There was logic to her madness
There was a flicker within her darkness
There was warmth though she was heartless

She was fragile and at the same time strong like glass
Set firmly in her ways unwilling to give in so she cracked
Life was cruel and one might even say crass
Her plans were sabotaged and her heart hijacked

Like a phoenix, she rose from the ashes
Fighting for her heart amidst war cries and sword clashes
Hiding her pain behind dark sun glasses
Ridding herself of tears with the bat of eyelashes

There was something sweet about her bitterness
There was value to what she considered worthless
There was a drive despite her unwillingness
There was a plan behind what she considered pointless
There was healing in her brokenness
There was strength in her weakness

And as dusk turned to night and night to dawn
She gathered herself and decided to move on.
